Scott McCloud is one of the few comic book characters that I've drawn here that is also an actual person. He draws himself into his books on the theory and ideas behind comics and their creation. If you want to make or understand comics on a deeper level, you need to read his books, no excuses. He is also the creator of the 24 Hour Comic challenge. The Challenge has inspired many a sleepless, caffeinated creator to create a complete comic with 24 pages in 24 hours. My favorite 24 hour comic is by a French artist named Boulet, who kindly put it all online. It's called
Darkness.
